WEEE & Battery Recycling
Better Mobile Xperience (BMX) designs products to last — and to be handled responsibly at end of life.
We comply with the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive (2012/19/EU), the EU Battery Regulation (EU 2023/1542), and corresponding UK and EEA laws governing collection, treatment, and recycling of electronic devices and batteries.

This symbol appears on BMX products and packaging. It means do not dispose of the product or its battery with household waste. Take it to an authorised collection point for proper recovery and recycling.
Recycling in the EU / EEA
Consumers: Return used products to a municipal collection site or approved retailer drop-off.
Businesses: Email support@heybmx.com to arrange compliant take-back where required by national law.
BMX works with authorised representatives and approved producer schemes in each market to ensure full compliance.
Recycling in the United Kingdom
Under the UK WEEE Regulations 2013 (SI 3113):
Producers placing electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) on the UK market must register.
If you place 5 tonnes or less per year, you can register directly with the environmental regulator.
If you place more than 5 tonnes per year, you must join a Producer Compliance Scheme (PCS).
BMX participates through an approved PCS to meet collection and recycling obligations.
UK consumers can recycle BMX products free of charge at local authority centres or retail take-back points.
Recycling in Germany (ElektroG §6 – §7)
BMX registers with Stiftung EAR before placing products on the German market.
If the producer has no German entity, an authorised representative is appointed to fulfil these duties.
All products are labelled with the crossed-out bin symbol and brand identification per §7 ElektroG.
Batteries and Power Banks
BMX products contain rechargeable lithium or semi-solid-state cells. Do not incinerate, crush, or dispose of them in household waste. Use official battery collection points or return the entire product through a WEEE route.
One-for-One Take-Back
In many EU countries, you can return an old electronic device free of charge when buying a new one. BMX supports these national programs where applicable.
Registrations and Authorised Representative
WEEE registration numbers will be published as soon as they are issued by the respective national authorities. This page will be updated accordingly. Until then, applications are in process and no products are placed on unregistered markets.
Data and Safety Reminders
Erase personal data before recycling. Do not open or short-circuit batteries. Return damaged units only through official collection routes.
